My written work sits at the border of online and physical worlds. In our culture driven by visual media, people sometimes find meaning by relating what is seen to what is understandable, making convenient connections at the expense of new learning. As a media archaeologist, meme scholar, and tech historian, I work to present digital cultures in a non-intimidating way and I write about memes and immersive media in a critical, but approachable manner.
